Moving Rates Are a Guideline, Not an Absolute

Local Moving Rates

We charge flat hourly rates for all short-distance moving services, defined as a move of 40 miles or fewer beginning a short drive from Torrance or Long Beach, CA.

• $130 an hour for packing and moving. This flat fee includes two professional movers and one truck.
  We can add a third mover to the crew for $50 an hour.
• There’s a minimum commitment of three hours per trip, calculated from the time we leave the warehouse until we return to the warehouse.
• Walsh accepts all major credit cards. If you pay your bill in cash, we’ll take 10% off.
• There are no taxes, no fuel surcharges, and no hidden fees.

Long-Distance Moving Rates

• Like all long-haul movers, we charge by the weight and miles of your shipment.
• We’ll accept a 1,000-lb minimum, while most movers charge for a 4,000-lb minimum.
• For shorter “long-distance” moves, less than 100 miles travel distance, we charge $130 an hour for packing and moving. This flat fee includes two professional movers and one truck.
• We can add a third mover to the crew for $50 an hour.

Vault & Trailer Storage Rates

• Storage rates vary according to the type of storage you request: vault or storage. Also, we offer different sizes of trailers and vaults.
• The fee for packing and transporting your vault(s) is $130 an hour. This fee includes two professional movers and one truck.
• We can add a third mover to the crew for $50 an hour if necessary.
• There’s a minimum commitment of 3 hours per trip, calculated from the time we leave the warehouse until we return to the warehouse with your property.
• We charge $90 per month for standard vault rental and $70 a month for smaller vaults.
• Added to these baseline costs is a one-time $25 handling fee for each vault.
  You can store a sofa for $25 a month.
• Piano storage is $20-$30 a month.
• We charge $35 per hour for each visit to our secure warehouse. This fee includes an hour of professional assistance from a Walsh staff member.
• Our basic storage rental charge includes packing blankets and other materials to protect your property.
